Exist Support

Email us at jake@useexist.com. A real person answers, usually within a day.

If something is broken, open Exist, go to Settings, tap Diagnostics, and send the report. It takes one tap and it tells us far more than a description can.

Getting set up

Exist needs Screen Time permission to work. This is Apple's system for limiting apps, and without it Exist cannot block anything.

If you skipped the permission or turned it off, open Settings on your iPhone, tap Screen Time, and make sure it is on. Then reopen Exist.

Exist is iPhone only.

Blocks and limits

Setting a limit. Open the Intentions tab, pick the apps you want to limit, and set how long you get each day.

I need my apps back right now. Open Exist, go to Settings, and choose how long to remove your blocks for. They re-enable automatically when the time is up, or you can tap Re-enable Blocks Now.

A block was late, or did not happen. iOS decides when to wake Exist in the background, and it sometimes delays or skips those moments. Exist catches up the next time you open it. If a limit is consistently not firing, send a Diagnostics report.

I picked whole categories instead of individual apps. Category blocking works, but Apple's system cannot attach a daily time limit to a category, only to a specific app. If you want daily limits, pick the apps individually.

An app I need is blocked. If it is a map or navigation app, add it to your always-allowed list in Settings. For anything else, remove your blocks temporarily using the steps above.

Streaks

Your streak counts days where you stayed inside the limits you set for yourself. It is stored with your account, so it survives reinstalling Exist or moving to a new phone, as long as you sign back in.

If your streak looks wrong, send a Diagnostics report before changing anything. It captures the state we need to see.

Your account

Change your name or email. Settings, then Manage Account. Changing your email sends a confirmation link to the new address, and sometimes to the old one as well. Both need confirming.

Sign out. Settings, then Sign Out. Your blocks, intentions and streak stay on your phone. You will need to sign back in to use Exist.

Delete your account. Settings, then Delete Account, then Delete Forever. This permanently removes your account and personal data from our servers and cannot be undone.

Two things to know: deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, and deleting the app does not delete your account.

Subscriptions and billing

Cancel a subscription. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, then Exist, then Cancel. Only you and Apple can cancel an App Store subscription. We cannot do it for you, and deleting the app does not cancel it.

Refunds. Purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue or refuse an App Store refund. If you paid on our website, email jake@useexist.com and we will handle it directly.

I paid but Exist still asks me to. Open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases. If that does not work, email us with the address you paid with.

New phone. Sign in with the same account and your subscription and streak come with you.

Privacy

Exist never receives your Screen Time data. We cannot see how long you spend in any app or what you do inside one. The full explanation is in our Privacy Policy.
